My company have enrolled me into MCTS: Web Application Fast Track program which lasts for 2 and a half weeks.
It is the first time I am attempting a Microsoft Certification. I am slightly concerned because I only have small amounts of knowledge on C, Java and Javascript. Very basic knowledge. Below is the description given to us about the program we have been enrolled on...
Course Objectives
Developers holding the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications certification have demonstrated breadth and depth of skills and knowledge of Web application technology and data access in Web applications. This course develops the skills and knowledge required to achieve certification and the hands-on skills necessary to successfully deliver development projects.
The course will provide delegates with the core foundation skills required to programme using the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework. Students will also gain in-depth technical knowledge of ASP.NET and its related technologies and obtain practical insights into developing enterprise-scale, data-driven Web applications.
On the final day delegates will be given guidance on how to develop the practical experience and hands-on skills required to move up to the Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD): Web Developer certification. This workshop will include the opportunity to attempt Exam 70-547: Designing and Developing Web Applications by Using the Microsoft .NET Framework. By attempting the exam delegates get a detailed insight into which areas of skills development they need to focus on to advance to the next level.
My question is, what are the pre-requisites for this course? And is there any background work I can do to prepare myself? Or will they start from the very very beginning....?
Thank you for all your help.
