Mazda tranny question.?

My 2004 (30 000 miles) mazda 3's manual tranny was acting up. the dealer agreed to swap the transmission under warranty. Two questions. First, is it difficult to swap a manual tranny. Of course i'm getting this done at the mazda dealership. Second, they told me they're putting a remanufactured tranny on the car. What exactly does that mean?? People with knowledge or experience.
 
meaning its a rebuilt transmission honestly it works just ass good as a new 1
