So I have a 2005 Mazda 6 with about 60,000 miles on it. I found out that my shifter cables need to be replaced. It was like the car was stuck in 1st gear. It would go up and down, but not left to right.
Someone else was driving this car when the problem happened. I'm trying to find out if these shifter cables break from force or if it was something wearing out for a while. When speaking to the dealership's tech, they couldn't confirm this.
