mazda rx8 owners: how do you like your car?

im looking into an 08 grand touring model. is this thing strong enough to do burnouts and slide around corners? im not into a smooth ride and easy shifting. i want a decent performance car that is fast. 230hp sounds good, but what about the 170lb/ft of torque?
