Mazda RX8 check engine light?

Hey, so my mazda rx8 just hit 39000 miles, and i noticed that around the same time my check engine light came on. Is there a legit problem with the engine or is this some standard feature for RX8's engine lights to come on at exactly 39000 miles?

Pretty sure i've just gotten the oil changed so that couldn't be it. right?
 
If the idle and drivability is fine, your engine should be fine.
I think the check engine light is telling you to check some sensors to see if they are faulty or check oil/water levels in your engine bay.

I highly doubt they would have the light come on at exactly 39000kms.
