I purchased my Mazda in 2007 and i have never experienced a problem until this month. In the last month, when i am driving all seems normal, then when i go to accelerate i seem to have no power, and the car moves very slowly up, and it will continue like this until i shut the car and let it stand several hours, then everything goes to normal again. I took it to Mazda and they tested it all day, they say that they did the compression test and a whoel bunch of other tests, i think catalytic converter? and they couldn't find anything, they run it on teh computer and nothing.....they said to chnage the ignition wire set and the 4 spark plugs because they look bad. how can that be? the car has only 55 000 km on it and i was told by another dealer that the wires are good for 100 k??
the problem is intermitent and they won't believe me, i'm not losing y mind, does anyone know what the problem can be? why would i lose power like that? and then go back to normal the day after ??
