Mazda Rx-8 Windscreen Steaming up constantly?

i dont know if anyone else suffers from this problem, but my front window keeps steaming up (in damp/wet weather) and will not clear by using the de-mister alone, it just gets worse, (as in the whole car steams up), i have to turn on the A/C, it clears pretty quickly when i do, however i dont want to leave it on all the time, and i cant understand why the normal air circulation settings make it worse (both re-circ and fresh air settings) and i'm sure those of us who own 8's can testify, the mpg is woeful at the best of times so having the A/C on all the time isnt going to help, has anyone had this problem and if so how did u fix it?
 
i found this too,, i stopped playing with my dick whilst driving and hey presto its better
 
The job of the A/C is to make the fogged windows go away.

You can use A/C when you are using heat or cold air.

It does not really use more gas.
It uses like 0.050 percent more gas with it on. That is nothing. You would never notice the gas wasting faster with A/C because it uses so little.
