Mazda RX-8 Help Pleaseeeee.?

Ok im looking to buy a car, and the car i really feel in love with was a mazda rx-8 its such a beautiful car. The car im looking at is a 2004 rx-8 with almost 30000 miles. Is that bad? Also maintance please someone let me know regular maintance for the car? Are these cars you can actually race with? Im not buying it from a mazda dealer if anything were to happen to it can i take it to mazda shop and get it fixed? please help me
