Mazda Protege Upgrades, Rice or Not?

Hey guys so i have a stock 03 mazda protege. I am not looking to upgrade the engine or anything other then maybe an intake but regardless. I recently got in a little accident with my car and busted a tail light and replacing with a factory one will cost about the same as getting aftermarket ones. Also decided to get a new shift knob and pedals, just for me.

Im not a racer or wanting to look like one, just want my car to look nice and different form a stock protege. So question, what do you guys on here think? Will getting aftermarket lights rather then the factory ones and adding window tint make my car look rice-e?
 
No way brother. i personally love the protege (almost as much as my Mazda3) aftermarket taillights wouldn't like rice, as long as they are not super flashy. you could always throw the OEM taillights back on and tint the tail lights and the windows. it will look good as long as someone legit does it. have fun
