my buddy has a 01 mazda protege with a 2.0 overhead cam and the engine ticks at 2000-2500 rpm no more no less Ive never torn in to one of these engines im leaning towards the lifters want a second opinion
we currently live in a crappy little town were if its not a carbureated ford they dont have parts for it and we dont wanna order a bunch of parts we dont need also dont wanna get stuck with no car his daily driver
need to repair no cheap fixes oil flush ect.
any insight appreciated
and please refrain from telling me to take it to a shop or some one who knows how i have all the knowledge and equipment to rebuild the motor if i wanted to just tryin to do a cheap as possible fix for a good friend
