Hello, I have a 1992 Mazda Miata and being I'm not much of a mechanic, I have a few questions. But I'm willing to learn because I want my car to be in good conditions.
First, I checked my oil (the engine being cold) about 2 days ago, it was on "L" (low). Yes I know this is a bad sign. Then I re checked the oil a few minutes ago (the engine being hot) and it was so low it didn't even mark. This got me worried, now would anyone know EXACTLY WHAT MOTOR OIL DOES THE 1992 MAZDA MIATA USE? Because I know there are various types, but I wouldn't know if some damage the engine and others are specifically for that engine. Second, every how many miles should I change the Oil filter, gas filter, air filter, oil, and DO A TUNE UP? I've done about 3,000 miles since the last time the mechanic changed all of that (about 7 months ago). But know that I saw the engine oil low it got me worried that the filters and stuff must be dirty and the car may need a tune up.
