Mazda 98 constant dinging?

Please help I am going insane!
My son left his windows down and the keys in the ignition of the mazda 626 and it rained! Now the car constantly dings like the keys are in the ignition or the lights are on even when it is not turned on. 24/7 ding ding ding ding..... HELP please!
I forgot to say this has been non stop for over a month. I do not know if there is a fuse I could pull out where it would be.
 
i'd try using a hair dryer, blowing into the key switch column. seems to me the circut got wet and the electricity is arcing across, it may have shorted out when it got wet and caused a spark to weld the contacts,there fore sending a false representation to the computer
