I have a 1996 Mazda V6 manual with 170k mi. and it goes through right front axles like crazy. It does have a propeller shaft or a mid-shaft (as some might say) between the actual cv shaft and the transmission. I think that's a terrible design. The outer cv boot has torn on yet another. That's not the half of it. I have to put in several axles to get one that does not have a vibration upon hard acceleration only when starting into 2nd and 3rd gears. I currently have an original equipment axle in there and it still does the same thing! Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The longer I let this frustrate me the more I understand why Mazda ceased production on the 626s.
