mazda 626 sputtering problem?

I have a 2002 mazda 626 it starts great, idles great but as soon as i put in gear and try to accelerate it starts sputtering badly. How can i fix this?
 
1 can't fix untill you find out whats wrong...not to insult you but how long has check engine lite been on? free computer scan most auto parts stores
2 tune up if over 80K you have had it tuned...right?
3 tranny...got fresh fluid......full!
 
Mazdas are very sensitive to ignition problems.
Tune it up. If it does not solve the problem, replace the air flow sensor located between the throttle body and the air filter under the hood driver side.
Don't forget to change the fuel filter when you tune it up.
