mazda 626 rumbling noise what is it !!!?

i have just brought a mazda 626 2.0 td 2001 after 20 mph there is a very loud noise coming from front somewhere !! the noise is like a very bad rumbling noise hard to describe! and its vibrating the steering wheel .i have checked the wheel bearings but they seem fine so now really confused :-{ if some one had any ideas it would be really help full to know kind regards andy
