A friend of mine has a mazda 626 and it was idle for almost 2 years. He bought a new battery and it started right up. It's the V6 model. When he started it, the RPM's went from 1000 to 2000 and back down to 1000 and back up to 2000 and you get the idea lol. After a few minutes the check engine light turned on. Well, he got mad at the car and he floored it in park and a lot of "stuff" came out of the exhaust pipe. He then turned it off, and turned it back on. Now the car is running fine, just like normal. But the check engine light is still on, what could this be?
