Mazda 6 2005 vacuum leak intake manifold?

I have an air leak getting into the fuel system causing my car to have bad idle and sometimes sound like its going to shut off. I took it to the mechanic for diagnosis and he thinks hes isolated the air leak to a vacuum hose in the intake manifold, which he said is expensive -labor wise- to take out and put back with the chance it just might be warped anyways. He squirted water into a part of the manifold and the car sounded better for a couple of seconds. Anyways on my quote he wrote something about a "boost pressure sensor".

I was wondering if anyone could give me more information on what a boost pressure sensor is?
Also i dont have a turbo or supercharged car, normal mazda automatic/manual.
