I have a 2007 Mazda 3. So its less than 3 years old and has less than 36,000 miles.

Recently I noticed that the steering wheel begins to tremble when I press the breaks even with the slightest amount of pressure.

Also when i am parked, and press the breaks then start the engine up, there is a loud banging noise coming from where the front passengers feet belong.

Does Mazda cover this?
Yea, I figured it might be that, but just in case it was something else. The dealer said that's its because of uneven consumption which is not a bad answer as too why...but i had to haggle them for a bit, until they decided to grind down the rotor to flatten the surface. I had to request this because the breaks are at 50% and if they are shaking like this now, what would happen at 40% and so on. Also because they are now less reliable.

sounds like you need new rotors and pads, if thats the case the warranty wont cover it because that's normal wear and tear. Best thing to do is bring it to a dealer and have them look it over, they can tell you if its covered under warranty, if not they can tell you how much it will cost. Warranty's will not cover normal wear and tear on vehicles (oil changes, tires, brakes, etc.) only things that shouldn't fail on vehicles, engine, tranny, frame, etc. They will however cover the items such as brakes IF they are wearing much faster then normal.
