Mazda 3 or Ford Focus - which should i get? (Australia only)?

I would love to get a new car, but there are so many to choose from. I don't really like the Honda Civic's current shape. So i was thinking a Mazda 3 or Ford Focus.
Which is nicer for a gal in her 20ies...
