mazda 2 !!!!!! 08 plate?

i have a new mazda 2 it has already had it first service coz of the miles i do however how come i cant get a service book and y does it have to digitally recorded can i ask for a service book??? thought it was against the law not to give you a choice where to get your car serviced..????
 
as far as im aware ever new car come with a service book..i know its also stored on computer but that's no good when you come to sell it and dont have the paperwork....ask the head bloke at mazda next time your there
