Good morning! I have a strawberry patch in my garden, i read yesterday that i need to put straw, or plastic down on the ground. I want to know if i can use a black cloth type thing that is meant to reduce weeds. I do not want to put straw or hay down in my garden. Will that work to keep the berries off the ground and reduce an pests getting at them. I currently have berries growing.
