Maths question - a garden fence?

A man owns a Garden.

It is the shape of a right angled triangle. The length of the garden is 40m and the width of the garden is 30m.

The man built a fence to split his garden into two, from the right angled point to the diagonal ( it may not be straight down the middle) .

The two parts of the garden both have the same perimeter,
so how long is the fence ?

I got around 28m but i am not sure if this is right ????

600m.....that prob wrong though i did it in my head.... nvm nvm thats the area...80+60=140/2=70+ the C, so you would probably want to do the equation A2(squared)+B2=C2 and plug 40 and 30 into the A&B and that should give you the diagonal line which you can add to 70...hope this helps and wasnt confusing!
