A) what is your actual speed?

B) At what bearing angle are you really rowing?

Use the Pythagorean Theorem

c^2 = a^2 + b^2

c^2 = 4^2 + 1.5^2

c^2 = 16 + 2.25

c^2 = 18.25

c = sqrt (18.25)
