1/ What is the probability that in a family with 5 children exactly 2 are girls? Assume a boy and a girl are equally likely?
A, 1/16 B. 5/32 C. 1/5 D. 5/16 E. 2/5
My answer: 2/5, but in answer book it said 5/16. I don't know how they get that.

2/ Multi-Step Problem. You an a friend are taking part in a fundraiser walk. Both of you agree to arrive for registration between 8:00 am and 8:30 am. You will wait for each other at the registration table for up to 10 mins.
a/ Let x be the number of mins after 8:00 am. That you arrive, let y be the number of mins after 8:00 that your friends arrives. Let x=0 and y=0 represent 8:00 am. Write inequalyties representing the time intercals in which you and your friend will arrive.
My answer: 0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 30, 0 less than or equal to y less than or equal to 30.
b/ Find the probability that you and your friend will meet at the registration table? Show work

I thank you for all the help in advance. I will give out 10 points for the answer that show work

I don't want to hear anyone said that " do the homework by yourself, I am not going to do it for you", I will take that as spam and will report it. This is not going to be graded by my teacher, and not a part of my homework. Just want to prepare for the test tomorrow
