Math Question: You have to make a sculpture using two shapes...?

The first shape has a surface area of 24cm square, the second has a surface area of 22cm square. What is the maximum surface area, and minimum surface area your shape can have, and the amount of possibilities in making the sculpture? Please help.

And remember you can over lap the shapes, which would have an affect on the surface area.
