Math question: There are 6 cookies in a cookie jar. 3 are peanut butter & 3 are chocolate chip. A little boy pulls out 1 peanut butter cookie from the jar. Then without looking he pulls another cookie from the jar. What is the probability that the cookie will be a peanut butter cookie? Please explain.

So after pulling a peanut butter cookie from the jar, there are 5 cookies left. 3 are chocolate, 2 are PB. So, because there are 5 cookies, the probability is a 2 out of 5 (2/5) chance of it being peanut butter.

since the little boy has already pulled a peanut butter cookie out, there are only 2 left and 3 chocolate chip
so the chance of him pulling a p.b. one out is 2:5
