A half life of carbon 14 is 5715 yr. How much carbon 14 will remains in a fossil after 1275 yrs if the initial quantity was 5 grams?

5715/1275=4.4823

So it means that the carbon sample would have been halved 4.4823 times
Therefore (1/2)^4.4823=0.04473times the original amount

Therefore the amount of carbon 14 left would be = 5*0.04473=0.2236grams

:D HAPPY MATH-ING!
