P phoenixblast23 New member May 20, 2011 #2 that made no sense, from what I'm guessing you said, -4x^2 3+6x^2 4-1, now its either that or (-4x^2)(3+6x^2)(4-1), which still wouldn't make sense.

A Alice New member May 20, 2011 #3 I don't really understand the equation, what with the 'square's, but the degree is the number of the largest exponent there is. I think in this case its 4, if the second term is what i think it is, 6x to the fourth power?
