Hi,
I've been reading a lot on matching car speakers to a head unit, but I wanted to double check to be sure I'm getting the theory right!
I have a Pioneer DEH 2000MPB head unit installed in my car, which supplies 22W continuous power, and 50W peak power PER channel at 4 ohms. I shall be replacing my factory front door speakers, and intend to drive them directly from the head unit. I am not interested in installing a separate amplifier.
I have been looking at a pair of speakers which can handle 27W RMS and 190W peak power EACH, at 4 ohms impedance. I have also checked out the rest of the specs and they are to my liking. My question is - am I correct in believing that these speakers are able to handle the power output supplied from the head unit?
Thank you for your time.
