Mass Effect XBOX 360?

I like to play games that are challenging but still easy enough to progress through the story. I don't mind playing levels a few times but really and am not good at very tougher games. (As an example - Resident Evil 4 was VERY hard for me.)I have heard great things about Mass Effect in that the difficulty is similar to the KOTOR games (which I beat). Can anyone give me their impression of the difficutly level of Mass Effect?
 
It depends on the difficulty setting... Normal is rather casual play (You won't die unless you are reckless), Hard is a moderate challenge (The boss fights may cause you some problems), The highest difficulty requires you to beat the game on hard before it is accessible, and is a good challenge (You'd want to stay clear of that difficulty)...

It is about par with KOTOR as you said...
