The last two days are "Forgiveness Day" and "Pure Monday" - so all
that butter you ate the previous week is simply forgotten like it
never existed.

What more could you ask for? I've already signed up.

If this was 10 years ago, my husband would have thought he was in

I love cooking with wine.
Sometimes I even put it in the food.

A propos of nothing, 2 weeks ago when I was teaching in New England I
ran across Plugra on sale so I bought it. I was delighted that is
tasted just like what I am used to using in Italy. Now I am in
Washington DC area and it's almost twice as expensive, so I guess
that's over for this trip.

Lacking Quotefix, Felice replies:

It is fine stuff, isn't it? We had it Sunday morning on homemade crumpets.

I had 1 each crumpet with each of those toppings. And I've been here
long enough that I don't give a rat's ass for your tired opinion RE:
cheese and seafood. You're the guy that eats SPAM and chicken paste
sausages.

The crab dip had cream cheese in it, if that makes you feel any
better.

Fabulous stuff! I get it here in Kansas City at Restaurant Depot. IIRC 1 lb
blocks were about $3.25 last time I was there. They also sell Plugra
clarified butter in 5 lb tubs, about 14 bucks IIRC. However AFAIK Plugra is
not available here in KC at retail markets.

FYI if there's an RD near you, they allow memberships to certian
non-commercial users such as barbecue teams and firemen. Or if you have a
resale tax number you can sign up.

I got a resale # just so I could shop there. The only drawback is
that I have to spend about 3 minutes every 3 months filing out an
online form that says I don't owe tax the previous quarter.

The savings on are well worth it. Some of the food stuffs are
ridiculously priced (cheese and lunch meats, canned goods, lump
charcoal, frozen foods). Some is the same price I'd pay at CostCo.
And they charge tax on taxable items so it's not like I'm getting any
tax discount that I have to explain later.
