First of all, everyone is entitled to their opinion and its a well known fact that Eastern medicine does believe highly in the benefits of herbs and natural remedies....however, it should be pointed out that for those of us who have any medical issues- going this route can be really REALLY bad. For instance, I have Multiple Scerlosis- not fatal, but its an autoimmune disease, if I drink Green Tea, I stimulate my immune system, thus putting myself into a relapse. Not something I choose to do voluntarily! Almost every herb and supplement which is for cold remedies or intestinal health is a NO-NO for me..so I question the benefit of green tea for "all ailments".
Now, onto your question. Are you aware that Marvelon 28 is a birth control pill? Thats all it is, and like almost all birth control pills- the hormonal balance which is being altered, also does help your skin. Its highly possible that this will help your friend with her acne, however the down side is that it will definately throw off her metabolism, thus a chance of increase or decrease in weight- can affect liver functions and blood counts....hopefully, she was told all this and will be monitored accordingly while taking Marvelon 28.
Interesting that someone who drinks green tea for her health would want to take hormone therapy for her skin....I do hope your girlfriend is at least using the Marvelon 28 as birth control as well? Otherwise, Id have to say its not worth taking b/c just for moderate acne control.....but thats again, just my opinion. Let us know how it works out for her!
