Martial arts hold-downs?

There are hundreds of pinning techniques. I doubt anyone can give you a complete list. Many pinning techniques have many variations.

Okay, I am doing hold downs in martial arts. I am not aloud to do choke holds...for now...but can you give me a big list of hold downs and how to do them and or what it should look like. Make sure you give me the English and Japanese name of the hold-down please!

Oh yeah, can you tell me which one you think is most affective as well?
