Martial artists: are there any different to practice iron palm?

Iron Palm is most normally done with a canvas bag filled with mung beans at the beginning. Then after a time the contents of the bag is changed to have either loose gravel or iron shot. The final bag contents will be steel shot, at a very advanced level.

As I recall, slapping the bag is done every day, even multiple times a day, if you're truly striving for Iron Palm. Therefore, Dit Da Jow is pretty pivotal to the process.
