I've been searching for the benefits of joining the military married (NO I'M NOT MARRYING FOR BENEFITS.) I'm engaged and been with her for 4 years now. We were planning on marrying in 2010. However, this past month we've been talking about me joining the military and marrying before. MAIN REASONS WHY I ASK ARE:
I'm the type of person that if I marry, she will be living with me, will I be able to afford us just with the military salary?
What would be the difference in salary ?
Will she have anything to do while i'm deployed (does the military offers activities) ? Could she go with me ?
She just graduated her bachelors in psychology, would the military help her finish her post grad/phd ? What is the post 9/11 G.I Bill ? Will there be universities ?
Also, would you know any websites that would have everything in detail and easy to understand ?
Please give me numbers... just saying that I would get pay more won't help me because I know that.
I will be joining either the Navy or the Air Force and I'm not a U.S citizen but do have a green card!
