I just bought this game preowner so I dont have a book with it to explain this

How do you get to play all the events?
Thanks everyone, I did come first in a circuit which I thought would unlock events but no luck yet
 
You unlock them through the circuit mode. More medals you win, the more events you can play. Instructions on how to play each event is given before it begins.
 
You need to play the game with what events are there at the moment, either in single match mode or in mission mode.

Doing this will open up other events in the game.
