I worked with this guy for about 5 months. He left for Marine boot camp about a month ago. One of the managers is going to post his address so whoever wants to write to him can.
I miss him and would like to write, but I'm not sure if I should. Would he enjoy getting letters or would it annoy him, since I'm sure he won't have much free time. Marines, when you were a recruit, would you enjoy receiving letters from friends, even not so close friends?

And what kind of things should I write?
Oh, I should probably mention what kind of friendship we had. Well, for the last 3-4 months, we talked a lot and texted. We hung out a few times. I liked him, and I'm pretty sure he liked me, but he was leaving so nothing happened. And the last couple weeks before he left, we didn't talk a lot. I didn't have a chance to say goodbye. So, we weren't friends very long, but were somewhat close.
