It does not matter who is going. You will have to depend on your own guts and learn to follow orders not hang with your buddy. This isn't camp. You are preparing to have a life changing experience. One that will make you proud of yourself in more ways than you can imagine. Do your best and pay attention, respect others and work hard. It's worth it.

That army ranger guy is an idiot. 3 miles is the PFT, that is the BASIC requirement. i.e., you have to at least do 3 miles. A freakin "hooah" trying to say how Marine boot camp is, is like an elephant telling an eagle how to fly. Go sit in iraq and get fat in an army chow hall ranger boy. Ever heard of recon? The other day, we (the grunts -03's) did a 7 mile boots and ute's run, just for the heck of it. What does army stand for again? Aint Ready for Marines Yet??
And if you're not a Marine, chill out on the 'semper fi's' and oorahhs. Boots. Earn it first, then say it.

USMC training is a joke : ) Example Marines run 3 miles to complete boot camp (Tough Training ; ) Rangers run 12 miles, take a 30 second water break, pack on 60 lb's, and hump 10 more miles *daily* Trust me marines boot camp is a facade for recruitment purposes. These guys are ******* 3 mile mile champions ; )
I would prepare mentally because physically is a serious ******* joke. And im not kidding. Rangers could piss on marines. If anyone consideres marine pussy camp tough their not ready to become a Ranger or Special Forces.
