marine boot camp (parris island)?

i know you can receive and send letters,but is there a limit on who you can right,like just your parents,or can you right anybody and receive letters from anybody?
 
You can write to anyone. And you can receive mail from anyone. However, if you receive a letter or a package that the Drill Instructor is suspicious about, you will open it in his presence. If you receive contraband of any kind, it will be confiscated. You think this is an important question now, but when you get to PI, you'll quickly learn that you will have very, very little time for writing and/or reading letters.
 
You can write anybody you want. Make sure you tell one of your friends to send you a letter with a up-side down stamp on it. The drill instructors love that.

and you can write whoever you want, it would bewhove u to tell every person you know if they send anything army they will regret it when you come home. you can write whoever as much as u want, DO NOT PUT PVT OR PFC it dont matter if you were promised by your recruiter or not, you didnt earn the title yet so putting that on any letters to or from you will only get you alot of trips to the treeline on paige field
