Mariah Carey is to make a return to film by starring in indie drama Tennessee.
Carey (Glitter, WiseGirls) will play a waitress who, along with two of her brothers, embarks on a journey to seek her father's help in saving her younger brother from leukemia.

I am so glad she has been given another chance to prove her acting skills. Most people base their views of 'she can't act' by only seeing Glitter (which I think she was excellent in anyway), if people would watch more of her work, they would see how much she improved from Glitter to WiseGirls. I know she is generally a hated character on these forums, but I really think she will do herslef proud this time around and not be slated
