Marching Bands and Macys Day Parade?

So I am a drummer, an I really would like to play in the Macy's day parade. Its mostly high schools and college bands but I know there is some drumlines you can tryout for to play in? B/c i know a kid from another school whose school didnt play in it but he tried out to make an he did. basically if i want to play a drum in the parade, what do I do? an How? THANKSS
