Hi! I'm finally going to be old enough for my town's summer competition marching band this summer (The Sound of Sun Prairie...they compete in MACDBA) and I was wondering if there were any tricks of the trade I should know. I'm a girl, play clarinet, and already have some friends who are going to march with me this summer. I also know some people who have already spent a season or two in it. Our city is known for our exceptional band program (concert, jazz, and marching) so I have a very strong musical base. I am a huge band geek and love band! I've always been close with my band teacher, and spend all of my free time during the school day in the band room. This summer we're going to Calgary for finals, and I'm super psyched about that too. So...any tips?
