March and April SAT and ACT tests, college admission deadline?

I just applied for college, and they need my SAT and ACT test scores, but I am not registered to take the tests until March and April. Their decision making is March the 1st. I was unable to take the test sooner, mostly because I just had a daughter and was focusing on bringing my grades up. I have really good grades and my advisor wrote my recommendation letter.
College is very important to me and I want to get in badly, but since I am taking the tests so late does that mean my chances of getting into college are out?
