marauder seat jam

the seat on my marauder has jammed, instead of the usual pop of the seat being released you can hear a quieter noise like only part of the release mechanism working, has anyone had this problem or now of a way to fix it as my tools and security chain are in there so are very needed

Hey Duck, May not be the same problem, but on my 03 Marauder, had done a remod on the seat which made the driver saddle tighter to the pillion. For me it just meant pushing the back of the drivers saddle forward for clearance while lifting upward. Hope yours turns out to be as simple, even if a minor pain due to the extra effort.
