Cutting to the chase, follow this path:
- go here: http://www.map24.com/
- login (create account if necessary)
- left nav, click "Map 24 Mobile Info and Downloads"
- choose your phone (symbian 2nd/3rd at bottom) and download
Note: after logging in on the web UI, search for some addresses you use a lot and add them to your Address Book. Now start the app on your phone, go to "Menu -> Addresses -> My Map24 Import". It will present a software code -- go back to the webUI on your desktop and enter this number in your "My Profile" editing page, save. Now click that option on your phone and all your address bookmarks are downloaded.
Works great on my E50 and it's *fast*, way faster than many other map-downloaders (mgmaps, google maps, j2memap, etc.).
