DALLAS -Isaac is now a category one hurricane with winds in excess of 74 miles per hour. President Obama warned folks to leave and "not to tempt fate." But not everyone is heeding the call.
Many people who live in North Texas said they are worried about family members who are staying in the Big Easy for Isaac's visit.
All of Avis Payne's family including her 76-year-old mother plans to stay in the New Orleans Ninth Ward during the storm.
"I have four brothers and one sister and all the rest of my family -- aunts, uncles, everybody's there. In-laws, everyone's in New Orleans," she said.
Ametrus Bell said her loved ones also plan on staying. Her father and brother moved to New Orleans to help with the cleanup after Hurricane Katrina.
"They want to ride out the storm and I've begged them several times. You can come stay with me. You can come live with me until it's okay to go back," she said. "It's their choice but they are still my family and I'm gonna worry for them either way."
The two women are just hoping everyone stays safe.
"Hopefully this storm won't be devastating, maybe a little water and everyone can go back home in a couple of days," Payne said.
