I fully understand the need for salt in food and the affect the taste has on a product, I work in the food industry myself, when the ammended salt guidelines were introduced we as a company had to amend our recipes to suit these guidelines, after many taste test panels we found that the flavour was hardly affected as there was still salt in the product but at a reduced grammage.
