Manliness, does our portrayal of it always make sense?

Throughout my life I have always been given odd looks when I notify a sports loving spectator who attempts to include me in on a passionate sports discussion, that I don't watch sports. It's always some couch potato body type guy who seems to become winded just from talking so wildly about the latest sporting events. I then always get the universal comment, "you ain't no real man if you don't watch sports" lol. These guys tend to be physical slobs, complain of personal physical deterioration and when I speak of women they lack the enthusiasm for that topic. I on the other hand have participated in weightraining since a teenager so I've sported a muscular physique throughout my life. I've always had athletic ability but never wanted part of the jock lifestyle so I never played team sports throughout school. Being a sharp dresser and looking cool was my thing. I don't really watch sports but I do watch tennis when Serena Williams playing ( drooling), watch Womens Track and Field and just set my dvr to record all Lingerie League games where women play football in lingerie. Who's really the most manly of the two types here? :>)
Interesting view you have Tom. I never would've thought watching a sport purely for eyeballing beautiful athletic women would be disrespectful and feminine. I respect how you denounce stereotypes, although you dropped the ball when categorizing men who love women as pigs.
