Hi from Jersy City NJ. Ive posted a few times, and have been reading these boarRAB for a year now. That was when I got my first arthrits DX, in my knees. Then followed DDD in the cervical and lurabar spine, x ray evidence in all 3 areas. On any given day I may feel a little stiff, a little pain or some clicking sounRAB in any area. The newest thing is nerve pain down my leg sometimes. Its all annoying, but not really debillitating. I know that on here most issues are more serious, like surgeries etc. But I want to hear from people who just deal, who dont need surgery (yet).
The strange this is that there are often answers t posts that ask "did you get an x ray or mri?" but there seems to be nothing really done after you do get those. You can find out theres a problem ,but no solution. It seems like PT doesnt ever help much fromwhat I read, and the shots wear of quickly. Is occasional scaitic pain serious?
Anybody out there with moderate symptoms have any stories to tell of how they deal or help thier situation? Does just taking a break here and there to lie down and take stress off joints help How about stretching? I am on naproxen and I cant tell if it does anything or not. I d like to hear from people with arthrits who arent yet up to surgery.

Each person is different. After someone gets an MRI done it's best to then seek a consultation with an orthopedic spine surgeon. Seeing an OSS or NS doesn't mean you are headed for surgery - those type of doctors seek to treat the patient in the least invasive way when possible. So physical therapy, excercise, medications, steroid injections, etc can be less invasive ways of helping with symptoms.
