Making an acrylic case to protect electronics?

I am planning to have acrylic cases made to cover some of my stereo systems. They don't get used that often anymore and I want to protect them from dust and whatnot. (The case would fit around the entire component stack in a 4-sided box. The backside is open, and goes against the wall.)

Question is, do I have to account for humidity build-up; does the case have to be vented in some way (and if so, how). Should there be slits in the case? I know once the case is "installed" I'll check on it less and less and humidity is way worse for electronics than dust.
I'm planning to ask the fabricator the same question, but they don't specialize in protecting electronics, they mostly make cases for conventions or displaying models. Thanks in advance!
